GWR 1900-1906 Tank Loco Livery

This is the livery as generally carried on tank locos at the turn of the century. Frames and splashers in Indian Red, and fittings well polished. Fully lined boiler, tanks and bunker.

The superb loco shown here is a 517 Class built from a Malcolm Mitchell kit, available in both 4 & 7 mm scales. The Class was introduced under Armstrong in 1868, and were used widely on branchlines and suburban trains.
