N Gauge Gem/Farish 28xx

On this model, Andre Jarvis has taken advantage of the Gem body-kit for the 28xx class loco in "N". The kit fits onto the Farish RTR 2-8-0 chassis as used on their 8F loco (the type "1909" chassis). The Gem kit was at one point available from Just Trains.

Andre writes: "I bought the GEM kit at the NEC show a few years ago and then bought a new Farish 8F. After reading the instructions, I got cold feet and sent it off to be professionally built. This is the result." The engine is shown here in BR(W) livery.
